| Abstract |
|
The malignancy in renal transplantation was reported in 1968 and the relationship between chronic renal fail- ure and malignancy was reported in 1975 by Matas. After then, many literatures were reported the incidence of malignancy was increased in chronic renal faiIure. The increased cancer risk in chronic renal failure might be related to loss of immunosurveillance, activa- tion of oncogenic virus and chronic immunostimulation by graft. Recently we experienced 3 patients with malignancy in chronic renal failure (squamous cell car- cinoma of lung, small cell carcinoma of lung, adenocar- cinoma of stomach). For the evaluation of the cancer risk in chronic renal failure, more comprehensive study will be necessary. |
