Abstract
We report a case of poststreptococcal crescentic glomerulonephritis in which persistent proteinuria was manifested in spite of serum creatinine level normaliza- tion. A follow-up renal biopsy specimen showed the 50% sclerosis and more intense C3 deposits along the capillary wall than the first specimen. It was suggested that persistent proteinuria, more than 1 gram per day, may be a risk factor of progressive deterioration of renal function and immunoligic mechanism involving complement may play an important pathogenic role.
