Abstract
The association of glomerulonephritis and malignant disease is generally regarded as one example of the broad spectrum of paraneoplastic disorders. The incidence of gomerular lesions in Hodgkins disease are so rare that only about 100 cases were reported. The renal pathology has been attributed most frequently to minimal change nephropathy and amyloidosis. Membranous or proliferative lesions may also occur in these patients. However, IgA nephropathy has not been reported in Hodgkins disease so far. Now, we report a case of 59-year-old-female with Hodgkins disease during the eourse of IgA nephropathy. In this case, we propose a cause-and-effect relation- ship between Hodgkins disease and IgA nephropathy, and emphasize that patients with lgA nephropathy be considered for the possiblity of malignancy.
