| Abstract |
Background
& Method: To investig ate how many various renal disease patient had been adimitted in Chonbuk National University Hospital, authors analysed annual distribution of renal diseases, type of the diseases and difference of the urban and rural areas based on adimitted patients at the Chonbuk National University Hospital during the period of 5 years from January 1986 to December 1990. Result: The part of the renal disease (607 cases) among the total medical inpatients (11,619 cases) was 5. 22%. And the sex ratio was 1.3:1, prevalent age was fifth decade in both male and female patients. The adimitted patients due to renal diseases has in- creased year by year in both urban and rural areas and there is no specific difference of distribution in rural and urban areas. In each renal diseases, the annual distribution was increased year by year in absolute number but, compari- son with total annual renal patients number in each year, certain renal disease group doesnt increased rela- tively rather than other renal disease groups. In view of the distribution of various renal disease in urban and rural areas, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome and IgA nephropathy had showed different distribution but there was no specific difference in other disease groups. Age distribution of various type of renal diseases, IgA nephropathy and nephrotic syndrom showed much more distribution in younger age group rather than older age group but there is no specific difference in other disease groups. |
