기종성 신우신염 1예

Abstract
Emphysematous pyelonephritis is a rare, life-threa- tening suppurative infection of the renal parenchyma and perirenal tissues characterized by the production of gas. We report a case of emphysematous pyelonephritis with massive perirenal gas collection caused by Kleb- siella in a 55 years old woman with uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. The pateient was successfully managed with antibi- otics and insulin followed by incision and drainage.
