Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic in- flammatory disease of unknown etiology. It has been suggested that LE is an autoimmune disease since autoantibody production is a common finding in the systemic form of this disorder. The belief that genetic factors play a role in SLE is based on a number of observations. SLE is found in an increased frequency in relatives. However, there is a lacking paper of the familial lupus nephritis in this country. In this paper, we report on three cases with systemic lupus erythematosus in subs: the first case were a typical lupus nephritis proved by renal biopy, the other cases of her father and aunt were clinically diagnosed as lupus nephritis with the review of the literatures.
