| Abstract |
|
We observed findings in various radiological exami- nations in a patient with acute bilateral cortical necrosis which ocurred after artificial abortion. Cortial calcifica- tion in contracted kidneys was observed in KUB and abdominal computed tomography. There was little en- hancement at renal cortex in dynamic CT scan. Cor- ticomedullary differentiation was indistinct at T, weigh- ted image while corticmedullary differentiation became at T, weighted image in magnetic resonance imagint. There were abrupt termination of vascularity below the level of arcuate artery in renal angiography. There were increased uptake of radioisotope in renal cortex in Tc-MDP scan. The above findings were thought to reflect selective cortical necrosis and calcification with spared subcapsular and juxatmedullary aortical area. |
