| Abstract |

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a rare causative organ- ism of peritonitis in patients with CAPD. We experi- enced two patients with tuberculous peritonitis The clinical features were similar to other forms of peritoni- tis complicating CAPD and the diagnosis was made by culture of PD solution for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculous peritonitis must be considered as a cause of CAPD peritonitis in cases with sterile peritonitis without response to antibiotics, especially in patients who live in an area with a high prevalence of tuberculo- sis. |
